Google Accidentally Leaked the Release Date of the Pixel 5

This information is based off a blog post on Google France (via 9to5Google), which blatantly said that Google Pixel 5, as well as the 5G version of the Pixel 4a, will be available for pre-order on Oct. 8, 2020. The post has been changed to remove the sentence that leaks this, but it's still visible on Google Cache. It is safe to say that Google is upset with this because they haven't made a statement yet and usually they are quick to respond to things like this.

Of course, just the one blog post does not mean Google has committed to this date, or even if it is true. The company could change its mind at any time, or change the date to wreck the validity of this leak. The date is likely to be accurate because Google typically launches new phones in October. Nevertheless, the Pixel 5 is going to be a great phone and it could be the right time to switch over from Apple to Google.
